Margaret Gutwein (nee Busch) was born on December 14, 1930, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, and it is with profound sadness that we announce her passing on February 14, 2025, in the same city. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, and her absence leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew her.

Margaret was predeceased by her parents, her husband Phil, all of her siblings, and her nephew Blair. She is survived by her cherished son Richard, granddaughters Mallory (Femi and great-grandson Elijah), and Adrienne, as well as nieces, nephews, and friends. Her presence in their lives will be deeply missed, and her memory will be forever cherished.

Throughout her life, Margaret exemplified dedication and love in her roles as a wife, mother, and grandmother. Her career with Eaton's and Wilson's Auto Electric was marked by hard work and commitment, and she touched the lives of many through her professional endeavors.

Margaret was a woman of unwavering faith, finding solace and joy in attending church services. Even when she could no longer attend in person, she continued to listen to the services from the comfort of her home. Her love for cooking and baking was a testament to her nurturing spirit, and she delighted in ensuring that her loved ones never went without their favorite dishes, whether it was perogies, cabbage rolls, pyrizhky, or dainties. Her culinary creations were a reflection of her love and care for those around her.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and nurses at Concordia Hospital for their compassionate care and support during Margaret's brief stay. Their dedication to keeping her comfortable during her time with them will always be remembered and appreciated.

Cremation has taken place, and a private interment will be held at a later date to honor Margaret's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a cause that holds personal significance to those who wish to pay tribute to Margaret's memory.
