Obituary of James Clement Green
James Green, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away on March 6, 2025, in Winnipeg, Manitoba in St. Boniface Hospital. He was born on May 5, 1971, in Edmonton, Alberta, and leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to his family.
James was a devoted husband to his wife, Cheyenne for 31 years, and a loving father to his four children, Mitch (Julie), Hailey (Kristen), Zach, and Alex. He cherished his role as a father and spent countless hours chauffeuring his children to music and soccer events, always supporting them with pride and joy. Hailey, Zach and Alex will always cherish the times he spent cheering them on at the soccer field. Mitch’s favourite memories are the drum lessons and the countless Manitoba Moose games they would attend together. James was a pillar of strength and support for his family, always putting their needs above his own and providing unwavering love and guidance.
In addition to his immediate family, James is survived by his mother, Nadine, and his mother-in-law, Charmaine, as well as his brothers, sisters, and a wide circle of extended family members and friends.
In his professional life, James dedicated 28.5 years of service to MacDon Industries, where he was known for his strong work ethic, dedication, and reliability. He was a loyal and hardworking employee, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and superiors.
Those who knew James will remember him for his quick wit, sarcastic humor, and love of trivia. He had a way of lighting up any room with his infectious laughter and warm personality. To his children, James was a superhero - a "Super Dad" who could do anything and fix everything. His love and guidance will continue to inspire them as they navigate life's journey without him.
James will be remembered as a proud family man, a loyal friend, and a pillar of strength. His absence leaves a void that can never be filled, but his love and laughter will continue to resonate in the lives of those he touched. May he rest in peace, knowing that his legacy of love and compassion will endure for generations to come.
We can’t thank the medical staff at the Palliative Care Unit on the 8th Floor at St. Boniface Hospital enough. The love, care and support shown to James and his family will always be remembered and appreciated. To the Never Alone Cancer Foundation for supporting our family throughout this emotional journey. To my mom for living at my house to take care of the kids and everything else that needed to be done, my brother Russ, Sister-in-Law Julie and our best friends Curtis and Debbie for everything they did from cooking homemade meals, driving and ensuring we all took care of ourselves.
A celebration of James's life will be held to honor the impact he had on those around him. His memory will be cherished, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
