Obituary of Debbie Caroline Lambert
In Loving Memory of Debbie Lambert
It is with profound sorrow that we share the passing of our dear Mom, Nana, Sister, Auntie, Great Auntie, Cousin, and Friend, Debbie Lambert, who left us peacefully in her sleep on the morning of March 24th, 2025.
Debbie was born a fighter, on September 15th, 1953, and she remained a fighter until the very end. From the moment she entered this world, she had to battle for her life, receiving a blood transfusion as a newborn. That strength and resilience carried her through a lifetime of challenges, yet she always met them with grace, determination, and an unwavering spirit.
In her younger years, Debbie found joy in the simple things—fishing, camping, bonfires, family gatherings, and tending to her flowers, which she cared for with meticulous love, whether at home or St. Malo. The Big Whiteshell was her favourite camping spot and was near and dear to her heart.
Her passion for nature and wildlife, especially her deep love of horses, was a defining part of her spirit. For a time, she even had a horse of her own, a dream come true. Every Spring she would get so excited with the arrival of the geese. She also loved her convertible and driving with the roof down and the wind blowing through her hair.
Over the years, she dedicated herself to many different careers, from working as a hairdresser and assisting a photographer to spending countless days at Birds Hill Ranch, a place that became a second home to her.
No matter what life threw her way, Debbie faced every hardship with resilience, rarely complaining and always keeping a smile on her face.
Above all, she loved her family fiercely. She always wanted to know how everyone else was doing, putting others first before herself. Even in her final month, after receiving a terminal cancer diagnosis, she held on with the hope of making it home to create a few more memories with those she loved. Though her journey had different plans, she fought with everything she had until the very end.
Debbie was predeceased by her Father, Harry Bennington; Mother, Evelyn Osadchuk; and Stepfather: Michael Osadchuk. She leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her memory: her Daughters, Shannon Conan (Russ) and Kristen Patenaude (Curtis Kornago); her Grandchildren; Paige Conan and Dominic Kornago, her Sister, Kathie Eekhoudt (Glenn) nieces and nephews; great nieces, cousins and friends whose lives were touched by her love, kindness, and strength.
Her passing leaves a hole in our hearts that can never be filled, but we find comfort in knowing that her love and spirit will remain with us always.
We love you, Mom—forever missed, forever cherished.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Cancer Research Society in memory of Debbie Lambert.
