Obituary of Bob Wilson

Bob passed away in the Grace Hospice after a short illness.

Bob is survived by his wife, Valerie; daughters Deborah MacDonald and Kim Wright (husband Tim Wright) son Justin (wife Arlene); grandchildren Mia, Meghan, Michael and Garrett; brother Dave Wilson (wife Lynn); and sister Kathy Emrich. Bob enjoyed his extended Wilson clan.

Bob was in the RCMP as a young man before getting into the insurance industry in Ontario. After moving to Winnipeg with his family he worked at Great West Life in the computer area. After retiring Bob gained his Certificate in Continuing Education from the University of Manitoba and then started another career teaching computer courses (Power Point, Access, Excel and Project) for Red River College and various companies.

In 1985 he met Valerie his future wife of 40 years. Bob enjoyed time with his family, camping in the Rocky Mountains, and tending his vegetable garden. 

A private gathering will be held in his honour.

In lieu of flowers, it is requested that you donate to the Alzheimer’s Society, Heart and Stroke, or the Grace Hospice.
