Alan Cassidy

July 6, 1931 - April 10, 2025

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Al on April 10, 2025, at the age of 93.

He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Terry-Lynne Paton, son Jack (Colleen), grandchildren Jeffrey, Stacey, Lindsey (Geoffrey) Paton, Scott (Allie) Cassidy and Amanda (Paul) Musyoka. As well as great-grandchildren Braxton, Reegan and Nixon Cassidy, and Everley and Kamdyn Musyoka.

Al was predeceased by his wife Ev (2024) and son-in-law Lawrence (2022).

Dad lived in Winnipeg all his life, with the majority of years spent in St. Vital. He worked at Air Canada in the stores department for 35 years. One of his greatest accomplishments was that he retired at age 55, and was retired for more years than he worked. Way to go, Dad! Our parents loved to travel and spent 17 winters in San Antonio, Texas, and enjoyed many trips to Barbados and the UK. Dad enjoyed working on cars in his younger years, riding motorcycles, enjoying a few beers in the backyard, and tending to his fishpond. Our parents celebrated 70 wonderful years of marriage and were often seen holding hands on their adventures.

We would like to thank the Convalescent Home of Winnipeg for the wonderful care our dad was given. The 4th floor staff were very kind to him, and we are eternally grateful for the care he received.

Dad, you are so loved and we will all miss you very much.

We will be toasting you with a beer!

There will be no service, and a private family interment will be held.
