Obituary of Cheryl Anne Parisian

Cheryl Anne Parisian (Henderson)

August 22, 1963 – December 23, 2024

On December 23, 2024, Cheryl Anne Parisian (Henderson) of Victoria Beach passed away at the Selkirk Hospital with her daughter by her side.

Cheryl is survived by her children Meagan and Aaron, their father Melvin, grandchildren Easton and Harley, siblings Terry, Grant, Colleen, Glen, foster children Christine and Stefan and many nieces, nephews, friends and relatives.  She was predeceased by her parents, Maureen and Dave, nephew David.

Cheryl was a woman of many talents, but she will be remembered for her love of plants and her Pine Greenhouse in Victoria Beach.  She poured her heart into every plant she grew - her babies.  She tirelessly fought against bugs, weather, fungus and every challenge that came her way to ensure the greenhouse thrived.  Her cancer diagnosis did not stop her, and with the incredible and unwavering support of family and friends, she was fortunate to have the opportunity to open her greenhouse doors in 2024 to be able to offer her knowledge and plant advice and have many chats with her customers who took the time to sit and visit.

Cheryl was a community minded person, donating and volunteering at many events. She especially loved the Merry Makers rummage sale and setting up the Christmas table. Her creativity was also on display at many weddings and the Ladies bonspiels, crafting bouquets, centerpieces and other decorations.

Cheryl was truly one of a kind – unwaveringly generous and always giving more than she could afford.  She was the embodiment of kindness and goodness, always greeting you with a smile.   Her presence will be missed by all who knew her.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Cancer Care in Selkirk and Winnipeg for their kindness and care throughout her cancer journey.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Beaches Community Centre in Victoria Beach. We invite all who were touched by her warmth to join us in remembering and celebrating her life.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Cancer Care Manitoba, or a charity of your choice.
