1989 - 2025

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beautiful Celia on Tuesday, June 3rd, following an unexpected health issue.  Our CeCe has left us too soon, though she lives on in the hearts she leaves behind.

She is forever loved by her Family including her partner - fiancé Damon Hawley (Carla, David), mother Renske Groen (Marc), father John Whiting (Sandy), sisters Annelies (Chris) and Baylee, stepbrothers Tyler and Nico, and all her loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Celia has always been our Sunshine, caring and compassionate, enriching the lives of those around her. An amazing sister, daughter, partner and friend.  A lifetime world traveler, artistic, brave and adventurous. She loved long walks with her puppy Sora, and furiously fun game nights with Family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, June 28th at 1 pm, at the Marshall McLuhan Hall, 65 Chancellors Circle, University of Manitoba.
