Obituary of Anne Finch (nee Tkachuk)

We are sad to announce the peaceful passing of our dear mother and grandmother on March 28, 2024.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children Jim Danchuk and Lynne Thorn; her grandson Brent (Chriss) Thorn; great grandson Austin; sister Olga Kowaliuk; special daughter-in-law Joan Pilgrim; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Mom was born in Gardenton, Manitoba and grew up on the family farm. She worked in the hospitality industry for many years and volunteered in many charities. 

She was predeceased by her parents Nykola and Sofia; sisters Sophie (Bill) Kopechanski, Mary Rewniak, Helen (Alexander) Pow; and brother John (Mary) Tkachuk.

We would especially like to thank Joan for her unwavering care and support.  We are grateful to the 3A staff for their assistance and care throughout our mother’s time at Holy Family Care home.

Cremation has a taken place; a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
