Obituary of Joyce Corinne Hebert

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joyce Corinne Hebert on May 6, 2024.

Joyce is predeceased by her first husband, Denis Hebert (father of her 3 children), her second husband, Herbert Middlestead, her parents, Jack and Edith Jones, her daughter Jill Calder (Doug) as well as by her daughter-in-law, Rosie Hebert (Jack).

Joyce was born in Winnipeg. She lived in many Manitoba towns including Emerson, Pine Falls and The Pas where she met many lifelong friends.  She enjoyed working at Lamb Air in The Pas,  Pricewaterhouse and Triple S Realty in Winnipeg.

She will be lovingly missed by her two remaining children, Jack Hebert (Rosie p.d.), Judy Rae (Kevin), her four grandchildren Jerry Hebert, Jim Calder (Sheri), Ken Calder and Mark Higham (Mara), as well as her great grand daughter, Mya Higham.

Mom enjoyed her many trips to Puerto Vallarta with Herb, dining out, time at the lake on Geoffrey Bay at Spruce Sands, Manitoba. She also enjoyed spending time with her many friends over the years going to a variety of concerts and events.  She lived in B.C. for a short time to be close to Jill and Doug. She returned to Winnipeg in 2016.  She spent her remaining years in Winnipeg at the Seine River Retirement Centre where she enjoyed the comradery of her table mates and the many bus excursions for lunches and outings.

The family wishes to thank the staff at the Victoria Hospital for their support and compassion during this difficult time. They also thank the staff and friends at the Seine River Retirement Centre for their support and many kindnesses.

There will be no service.
