Obituary of Sylvio Renald Lachance

It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Sylvio Lachance on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at the age of 86 years. 

He was predeceased by his spouse Juliette (nee Jeanson), parents Noël and Emelda (nee Beaudry) Lachance, brothers Eusèbe, Orille and Rhéal. 

Syl will be remembered by his son Serge (Crystal), and daughter Lisette; his grandsons Tariq and Easton and great-grandson Oszari.  

He is survived by his close friend Claudette Quenelle, sisters Marcella (Dick) Kelly, Monique (Kirk) Pedersen and brother Gilles, as well as numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. 

Sylvio was born and raised in St. Eustache, Manitoba. 

Sylvio was a foster parent to special needs children for over 25 years.   He was a carpenter by trade and took pride in his work.   His love for sports was unmatched, especially watching his Montreal Canadiens.  

There’s so many stories to tell about Syl, but none more than how proud he was of his two children, and being Pépère to his grandsons and great-grandson.   Always bragging about them and enjoying watching them play sports. 

A private celebration of life with family and close friends will follow at a later date.
