Eleanor was predeceased by her parents Marian and John Kubara; and brother Don Kubara.

Eleanor was born in Winnipeg on September 18,1934.

October 8, 1955 was the start of her growing family.  Eleanor demonstrated strength, courage, and unconditional love to her children.

Eleanor’s idea of happiness was her family.  Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her blessings from Heaven.  She loved to color and play board games with them.  She loved to spend time with her family, and enjoyed family get-togethers

Eleanor had a love for music specifically songs from Elvis Presley.  He was her favorite.  Eleanor enjoyed dancing and singing with her children and grandchildren at any family event.  Abba’s “Dancing Queen” was a favorite.

Eleanor also had a love for Sunday evenings, which were often spent with family members watching wrestling.  She also loved watching movies with her family.  She took great pride and joy in her endless collection of movies and music.

She loved to participate in activities at Riverview from exercise classes, to Bingo night, to watching an Elvis impersonator, and various musical bands, to baton twirling and fashion shows.  She enjoyed watching movies on the big screen tv in the dining room.

She loved to spend time with her family members in the Solarium or enjoying the beauty of the outdoors rocking on the glider and visiting the fish pond.

At this time the family would like to express our gratitude to the staff of 2W at Riverview Health Center for the care they demonstrated throughout mom’s time at Riverview.  Thank you for welcoming our mom and allowing her to be herself.
