Scott Pearce

Obituary of Scott Cameron Pearce

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Scott Cameron Pearce on August 17, 2024 at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, MB, at the age of 50.

Scott was born on January 27, 1974 in Winnipeg, MB to Ronald and Jennifer Pearce. He was raised here alongside his older brother Glen. He attended Kent Road School and Elmwood High School, where Scott excelled on the basketball team.

He enjoyed travelling with his family when he was younger and continued to travel if the opportunity arose throughout the years. Scott spent his younger years working at the Olive Garden and Norm n Nates but spent the majority of his years working at Bausch Health in Steinbach. He was last employed at Dynamic Machine. No matter where he worked, he established lifelong friendships throughout the years.

Scott’s pride and joy were his children. Paisley was born in 2007 and Ty in 2010. He loved them dearly and his love for them will continue on in their lives. He was an amazing father. Scott loved attending the Winnipeg Jets and Blue Bomber games, but his favourite sports to watch were Paisley playing basketball and Ty playing hockey. This is where he was most happy. He was a great cook and the kids will certainly miss his delicious meals.

Scott was a people person and could talk to anyone. He had a great sense of humour. No matter where he went, he most likely would know someone. He had the most well-kept yard on the block and was always doing home improvements and had a project on the go. Playing golf with his buddies was a favourite past time in the summer. His smile and laugh will always be remembered. He was a wonderful dad, son, brother, nephew and friend, who will be missed by many.

Scott is lovingly remembered by his mother Jennifer, brother Glen, children Paisley and Ty and their mother and friend Jennifer Medwechuk, special long time friends Sam Reilly and Kenny Fraser, special cousin Shaun, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, coworkers, and his hockey family whom he loved spending time with both inside and out of the rink.

He is predeceased by his father Ronald Pearce, his grandparents George Edward and Minnie Belle Pearce and Robert and Jessie Dryburgh, and cousin Peter Zamrykut.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00 pm on Saturday September 28th at the East End Arena. 517 Pandora Ave East in Winnipeg, in the upstairs Rizutto Hall. Dress casually or if you are a #55 Scheifele fan like he was, wear a jersey of any kind. Food and refreshments will be served. Cash Bar.
