My deepest sympathies to all of you. I was so sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. Such a beautiful tribute to your mom. Your mom lived a full life with those she loved the most. Although she is gone, her memory will never fade. May you find strength and peace in knowing she is now free of pain. And with Steven. Thinking of all of you with much love. Take care of yourselves and each other.

What a variety of life experiences your dear Mom experienced throughout her long lifetime. Having been the director of the University Women's Club Handbells from 1999-2008, Sylvia was such a fine musician contributing to all our performances. We kept up our friendship throughout the years with telephone calls, luncheons, emails and celebrations of our May 2nd and 12th birthdays. I am so thankful for those last two visits at Grace Hospital, especially when she awoke momentarily with instant recognition. All four daughters and their extended families are truly blessed to have such a wonderful Mother guiding them throughout their lives. May the many cherished memories of the past help sustain each of you in the future. Morna-June

Dear Donna and family. I loved your Mother. She was such a dear friend to my Mom, June Cote. They were such great friends for close to 55 years. Your Mom was so kind to me when my Mom passed, she kept my Mom alive and honored. I will miss her so much. Your Mom was so proud of you girls, and the grandchildren, she was a special person to my Mom and me. Forever, I will remember our conversations and emails. Love to you all.

I met Sylvia when we both were both studying Home Economics at the University of Manitoba. She was part of a group of close friends in that faculty. The memory of her for which I have great gratitude is that once we all graduated, Sylvia kept us in touch with our widely spread classmates by sending a newsletter after Christmas .She would collate our Christmas notes to her so we could find out what was happening to everyone else. These last few years, I’ve been in touch with her by phone and email so we had more personal sharing.

Mom (Sheila Bradley) and Sylvia are up in heaven having a drink (not too strong) and playing crib (neither wanting to lose). Those wild Friday nights they used to have… A friendship that lasted almost 60 years!!

Sylvia was the last mom of the CONIFER FOUR….. 4 moms who raised their children on Conifer Crescent in Windsor Park. They enjoyed many good times together. It was a special neighborhood where many memories were made.
