I wish to send my sincere condolences to all the family of Murray. I had the opportunity to play music with Murray on various occasions and always found him to be a supportive and fine person and a fine musician. When I was working with a band in Kenora Murray was always most willing to help me out whenever I needed scores or other advice. He was one great guy. Gary Hamilton

I played Lead Trombone in Murray’s band for many years. He never shared a negative word and wrote arrangements that made you a better musician in a positive environment. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. My wife Jacqueline and I share our most sincere condolences and caring thoughts. May his memory always be a blessing. Shalom.

My recollection of Murray was being able to share his athletic skills when we played hockey for the Minto Mustangs.A new Hwy23 Hockey League was formed back then and we won it all the very 1st year.He graduated from HS and moved away.Should also mention I met my wife at one of the home town dances when he played with the family orchestra. A serious and no nonsense individual for sure.After reading his obituary,there was nothing stated that surprised me,he was just that dedicated to doing his best at everything he attempted.His achievements are many and hopefully his family will carry his legacy forward My sincere condolences to all of the family.You will as so many will in Winnipeg miss him deeply Doug Bell Saskatoon

What an amazing legacy Murray leaves behind. I knew he was an amazing musician as I would go to the legion with my mom and dad to see Connie and watch Murray perform at the Fort Rouge Legion. Grant and I are very blessed to have seen such an amazing performer. Sending hugs and comfort to you all. Memories may be all we have and Murray left many memories to hold close. He will always be near and dear in your hearts.
