Obituary of Monique Diane Neufeld

On August 22, 2024, we had to say goodbye to our beloved Mom, Sister, Aunt and Friend, Monique Neufeld.

She was a ray of sunshine to everyone who knew her. Although the world was a better place with her in it, Heaven is rejoicing as they gained an angel. She is back in the arms of her beloved Chou Chou. Even through all of her struggles, she was always willing to help others. She always put everyone else first. Mom was so full of life and enjoyed time spent with her family and friends as well as her beloved pets. She loved the arts and taking in shows like Cirque du Soleil and Stomp!

As all who knew her knew, Mom loved being outdoors and especially loved planting and caring for her flowers. She found peace sitting in the backyard with Pops and just enjoying each other’s company. The two lovebirds could be seeing playing the odd game of Othello, laughing at their inside jokes, or simply sitting arm in arm discussing their lives together.

After Pops was called home to Heaven, Mom longed to talk to him and hold him again. She would always get a twinkle in her eye when she got to share stories of him or laugh at some of those inside jokes. They were truly a match made in Heaven and now they’ve returned there to spend eternity together.

Mom said that when a loved one dies, it is just a moment in time. We must cherish what we had before that and celebrate the memories we have of them.

Mom lived life to the fullest and always enjoyed the little things. If she were here with us, she would remind us that we need to live our lives with purpose, thoughtfulness and most importantly love.

We will always love you Mom and will never forget the impact you had on all those who had the pleasure of knowing you.
