Obituary of Jenny Rose Prodanuk

Sadly, November 6, 2024, Jenny passed away peacefully. Jenny was predeceased by her son Richard in 2012 and her husband Mike in 2016.

She is survived by her son Robert and daughter April, along with her granddaughters Kristyn and Kelley (Mark) and great-grandchildren Halle (7), Logan (5) and Luke (2).

As a young woman, Jenny worked at Monarch Life and eventually for many years at downtown Eaton's. She was also a unit clerk at Misericordia Health Centre and volunteered at Seven Oaks Hospital Gift Shop as well as at Kildonan Personal Care Home where she actually spent her final years as a resident.

Jenny loved to go on casino outings with friend Rose and visiting her son Rick who lived in Vancouver for many years.

She was also a big tennis fan and enjoyed watching matches with her son Robert, along with car rides to visit the old neighbourhood and the drive out to Lockport with him.

Mom and April enjoyed Wednesday afternoon bingo games in the main dining hall at the home and sitting outside when the weather was nice enjoying a salty snack and a Coke.

Mom was thrilled being a grandma to Kristy and Kelley and joined us on vacation numerous times and attended many recitals and Xmas concerts when they were young. Mom was never prouder than when the girls graduated high school, eventually university and grew up to be successful career women.

When her great-grandchildren would come to visit, Mom would have the biggest smile watching them run around the courtyard at the home.

Cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will be held at a later date.
