Born and raised in Esterhazy, Saskatchewan, the family moved to Winnipeg in 1952.
Most of Stan’s career was spent as a supervisor with Palliser Furniture.
His life was characterized by his outgoing personality, sense of humour and smile. He was friendly towards everyone he met, quickly putting people at ease and was fun to be with. His love, was to always help others. His heritage, watching football and hockey games, attending antique shows and collecting antiques. One of his greatest abilities was to be able to build or fix anything. Stan loved being around all his family and friends, making countless memories over the years.
He was a caring, generous father, brother, uncle, and friend, who will forever be missed.
The family would like to thank everyone whose love and support have been offered and delivered over the past months.
A special thanks to the Palliative Care nursing staff (Lori, Anita, Jade) and homecare aid (Oliver) whom he came to know well and looked forward to their visits.
