Obituary of Nancy Elizabeth Loepp
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nancy Loepp on December 3, 2024 at Grace Hospital after suffering complications from advanced scleroderma.
Nancy lived life to the fullest as a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 55 years Ken, daughter Carla (Clint), son Doug (Rachel), grandsons Saylor (Sam), Mason (Keira), Payton, Nolan, Reid, and Ryan. Great grandchildren Brooklyn and Theo, brothers Art, Brian (Leaha); and predeceased by her parents Edward and Yolana Bednar (Bartek).
Born and raised in Winnipeg, Nancy was devoted to her family and was the glue that held everyone together. With a positive attitude, she always approached life with enthusiasm and a smile; a trait that made her one of the contestants in the1966 Miss Manitoba Pageant. She was a stay-at-home mom until the kids were grown, then entered the workforce in retail management. She loved cruising and traveling the world which included many transatlantic crossings with Ken. She was a fantastic cook and baker, inspiring family members to attempt to recreate her culinary creations. Nancy will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all that knew her.
The family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the 2nd floor staff at Grace Hospital for their care and compassion. They are truly a blessing to their profession.
A mass will be held in Nancy’s honour at St. Giana Beretta Molla Roman Catholic Parish on Wednesday January 15, at 1:30 pm, 15 Columbia Drive in Winnipeg. Interment to follow at St. Giana’s.
