Brenda is survived by her son, Chris (Lucille), daughter, Bronwen (Mike), and her cherished granddaughter, Brynn. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother whose love and support made a lasting impact on all who knew her.

As a child, Brenda cherished summers spent in Gimli, creating precious memories with her family by the lake. These formative years sparked her lifelong love of the outdoors and the water, a passion she carried into her own family life. In her early teens, Brenda displayed her creativity and leadership by spearheading a neighborhood talent show, bringing together her community with her enthusiasm and organizational skills. She also loved traveling by train with her mother and siblings, visiting relatives in both eastern and western Canada, experiences that nurtured her adventurous spirit.

Brenda’s zest for life was reflected in her many passions and talents. In her younger years, she excelled in track., always demonstrating sportsmanship and determination. She was also an avid musician, playing guitar, piano and sharing her passion for music with others.

Brenda married the love of her life, Wally Serger, in October 1970, and together they built a life filled with love, partnership, and shared adventures. They shared a love for sports, including tennis, baseball, and curling, which became a valued activity they enjoyed together for many years. Brenda showcased her talent as a skilled seamstress by crafting everything from children’s clothing to elegant wedding gowns.

During Wally’s illness and after his passing Brenda deeply treasured visits from family and friends, finding comfort and joy in their presence.  She was especially grateful for the heartfelt support of the Riverwood Prayer Team, as well as the Care Team whose thoughtful visits and special treats brought warmth to her days.
