Obituary of Mary Walker
Mary Walker, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on December 11, 2024, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She was born on August 20, 1930, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, to George and Dora Shust.
Mary is survived by her loving children, Ronald (Nettie) and Sandra (Randy), as well as her cherished grandchildren, Dustin and Tim (Dani), and great-grandchildren Elliott and Brayson. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Roy, who passed away in 2002.
Mary will be deeply missed by her siblings, Lylla, Vera, John, David, and Carol, as well as numerous nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her siblings Eleanor, Nick, Pauline, Jack, Florence, and Andrew.
Mary's life was filled with love and joy. She worked in the service industry as a waitress, where she brightened the days of countless customers with her warm smile and kind heart.
Her passions included gardening, playing crib and bingo, and socializing with friends and family. Mary was a true people person, and her presence brought light and laughter to every gathering.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the nurses and doctors in the emergency department of the Health Sciences Centre for their compassionate care and support during Mary's time of need.
Mary's legacy of love, kindness, and joy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be remembered for her unwavering strength, her infectious laughter, and her boundless love for her family. Her absence leaves a void that can never be filled, but her memory will continue to bring comfort and warmth to those who loved her.
