Obituary of Brian Hanson

Following a brief illness, Dad passed away peacefully with his family by his side. He will be greatly missed by son Glen (Leslie), Scott, Eva (Reinhardt), Anders (Haley and Summer), Mats (Alex), daughter Kris (Brian) Wood, Steven (Alexandra and Abigail), Jillian. Also brother-in-law Drake Millar and family. Brian was predeceased by his loving wife Pat in 2016, parents Oscar and Jean, and sister Kellie.

Dad was a lifelong resident of EK where he and Mom married and raised their family. He was an active member of the sports community, curling at Elmwood; also playing and coaching both hockey and soccer at Bronx Park. Brian was a plasterer by trade, initially working with his father followed by a long career with the Winnipeg School Division. He valued the company of his friends including the ‘Knights of the Round Table’.

Grandpa was incredibly proud of all of his grandchildren and had a special relationship with each and every one of them.

We wish to thank ACCU 5th floor St Boniface Hospital for the kindness and care shown to Dad.

A celebration of his life will be held Friday, January 17^th, 2025 from 1:00 until 3:00 P.M. at Rossmere Golf and Country Club, 925 Watt St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Boniface Hospital Foundation.

Dad, we love you and will miss you forever!
