Condolences to the family.
My Favorite Aunt Ester story was when Ray and I were staying at Uncle Gordon and Aunt Ester's farm for a few days while mom was in the hospital. Near suppertime Ray, who was 4 or 5 at the time, marched into the kitchen and inquired what was for supper Aunt Ester had prepared one of her famous casseroles, and opened the oven to show Ray. He peered inside and thoughtfully turned and said " I think I'll have something else". I was shocked, but Aunt Ester laughed and was so amused, it was the first thing she told mom later.

Deanne, Gary, Ronnie and families. I want to express heartfelt condolences to all of you. The photos are a loving tribute to your mom, she was always a lady. My memories of her are many as I spent a lot of time hanging around with Ronnie as youngsters. She used to tease me at mealtimes with “Curly in the Corner”! Always looked forward to Delta or Morden beach and having a piece or two of her delicious fried chicken. Rest In Peace Aunt Ester.

Thanks Larry. Those were good times! I remember the fried chicken in particular-fresh from the processor (Dad). Hope you folks doing well in these trying times.

My condolences to the family, Deanne, Gary & Ron in particular, as I grew up in the area, and went to Maplestead School with them. Gary and I were the closest, age wise, and the mention of her baking a pie at age 92, brought back many great memories of the baked goodies, when visiting.

Condolences to the family.
As we lived a two miles down the road we would visit the farm every couple of weeks.
Dad (Laurie) and Uncle Gordon would have some farm invention to talk over.
If we were lucky it would be around coffee time and we would get some of aunt Esters baking. It seems my first memories of salted sunflower seeds were at a visit to her kitchen.
She was a quiet lady but always had a little smile underneath.
Rest in peace Aunt Ester, a life well lived.

Hi Robert. Thank you for your condolences. Mom always enjoyed Laurie’s company, in part because she knew Dad did.
