In loving memory of Eddie James Sturdivant, February 11, 1960 to April, 18, 2020.
Eddie was born and raised in Niagara Falls, NY where he graduated from LaSalle High School.
He was extremely passionate about basketball and played throughout high school to become one of the top basketball players in Niagara Falls. After high school Eddie set his sights on Canada and took a basketball scholarship at the University of Winnipeg, where he played for the Wesmen.
Eddie would continue to live his life in Winnipeg, where he married Kim Richardson and they had a daughter, Arrie Sturdivant. He spent his time working as a courier driver, traveling, playing pool, attending family functions, hanging with friends, volunteering at the Jazz Festival and coaching High School basketball.
Eddie was always the life of the party. He was a huge personality that enjoyed being in the spotlight. His greatest achievement was his daughter and granddaughter, Nyla Pangman, whom he would speak about very often.
He leaves to cherish his memory, Arrie Sturdivant (daughter), her mom Kim Richardson-Marcyniuk and Nyla Pangman (granddaughter). He also leaves his siblings, Elbert Sturdivant (Theresa), William Sturdivant (Edie), Michael Sturdivant (Vera), Jeffrey Sturdivant, Demitrius Sturdivant (Jenn) and sister, Andrea Stewart (Anthony).
