Obituary of William Ronald Grywinski

On Saturday, May 2, 2020, after a short battle with cancer, the world lost a brother and uncle at the age of 73. Ron is survived by his sister Liz, niece Lisa and the one and only Nola who gave him tons of doggie kisses every time he visited. He was predeceased by his wife Delphine, parents, Olga and Bill, brother Gord, and sister-in-law Linda. Ron spent his last days at Riverview Health Centre where he reminisced with friends and family over the phone. It was important to him to say his goodbyes to as many people as he could. When it was his time to go, our hope is that he left this world in peace and no longer in pain, knowing we were with him in spirit. Ron was born in Winnipeg and began his career in sales working for Rothmans in the early 1970s. He made the decision to be his own boss and purchased Interior Drapery, where he spent the next 30 plus years; working right up until his last days. The only thing he liked more than working, was shopping, hunting and fishing - his true passions in life. Nothing stopped him, not even being ill, from hunting and fishing. We could never understand how he could sit for hours and hours, waiting for elk or deer to walk by, but Ron said it was the best place on earth and wouldn't miss it for anything. He had a love for the wilderness; even going as far as feeding the deer in his back yard. Special thanks to friends, Ross, Tony, Rick, Kevin and Allan who took such good care of Ron - we couldn't have done it without you. We would also like to thank the Dialysis unit at Seven Oaks Hospital and staff at Riverview Health Centre for the amazing care given to Ron in his final days. In accordance with Ron's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal funeral service. If people so desire, donations can be made to a charity of their choice. We will miss you very much; you will be in our hearts forever
