My sincere sympathies and condolences go out to Lori and her and Dave’s family and friends. While I did not personally know Dave, Lori spoke very lovingly and proudly of him throughout our times together during Dave’s convalescence. Dave’s struggle is now over and may he Rest In Peace. K.Marks
Dave was a fierce competitor in the sport and he brought that mind set to the office in building the MSA in its infancy...how many can remember the office on Ellice Ave. Dave met everyone with a smile and did his best to resolve the issues and there were many. I will always remember Dave travelling to Gimli to assist our Canada Summer Games of 73 and spending the weekend with team working on team defending. Loved the times we just sat and with drink in hand we would talk soccer and how it had evolved in the Province.
Over 60 years of treasured friendship with this wonderful guy. Many fond memories of Dauphin, Falcon Lake and Windsor Park escapades. Wish Dave had proceeded with his project of writing a book about the misadventures of the close knit group of Our Guys ! It would have made a hilarious movie loaded with his unique sense of humor. He is loved by so many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
1970 MB Selects were inducted into the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame in 2013 and Dave Kerr was a proud member of that national championship team. I worked with Dave at the Manitoba Sports Federation (later Sport Manitoba) and I will miss his dry wit and easygoing grin. My condolences to his family and friends.
