It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Tim Huntley on June 27, 2020 at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 62 years.
Left to cherish Tim’s memory is his wife Joanne; mother Yvonne; son Jason; daughter Lisa Moir (Colin); grandchildren Michael, Quinn and Eric; brothers Bruce and Brian (Lucy); and sister Linda. Tim was predeceased by his father Dennis Charles Huntley.
Tim was born in Brampton Ontario and eventually settled in Winnipeg where he spent most of his working life in the IT field as a computer technician. He married his beloved wife Joanne in 1980 and raised their two children together. His family was his pride and joy.
Tim enjoyed camping, walleye fishing, boating and hosting BBQ’s. He was also an avid movie fan, computer enthusiast and skilled backgammon player.
He will be remembered for his generous, kind-hearted and thoughtful spirit and will be missed by all who knew him.
The family extends their gratitude to Dr. Brian Sharkey for the years of dedicated care he gave Tim. They also thank the staff at the WRHA Homecare program and the St. Boniface Hospital emergency department.
In accordance with Tim’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be held.
For those who wish, donations in Tim’s memory may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association.
