It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Imelda Oandasan, peacefully, on July 4, 2020 after a long illness.
Left to mourn Imelda’s passing are her loving husband Paul Wiebe; sons Cyril Joseph Cortes, Lucas (Jill), Patrick, Toban (DaWeon) and Michael (Laura) Wiebe. She also leaves behind her sisters Marilyn, Belyea, Helen and Adela; and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Imelda was predeceased in life by her parents Cirilo Oandasan and Purificacion Abugan Oandasan; brothers Cirilo, Manuel, Renato, Nestor; and one brother in infancy.
Imelda was born in Magsingal, Ilocos Sur, Philippines and attended high school at The Magsingal institute followed by college in Manila. She worked as an office manager in Dubai and Kuwait before coming to Canada in 2012.
With a quiet, kind, easy going personality, Imelda loved and was loved by many.
The family expresses their sincere gratitude to all the staff at CancerCare and HSC for their outstanding care these last few years.
Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 13, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Ignatius Parish, 255 Stafford St., Winnipeg with Fr. Roy Frank Obrigewitsch as officiant.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Imelda’s memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
