I cannot say enough about what a wonderful woman Bernice was to me . I had been going for awhile to tenseng pen and dave and bernice were always the perfect hosts . When I had my baby with me for his first trip to Jamacica she got a wading pool for him . A kind generous loving person . I am so sorry for your loss . They both left this world so close together , an evidence of their true partnership .

We met Bernice and Dave at Tensing Pen in 1988. It was our first trip to Jamaica, and their warmth and kindness helped make us feel secure being in a different land. Jamaica had just endured a horrible hurricane 6 months before and Tensing Pen and all of the country was literally shaken to the core., and just getting back and rebuilding. Their steadfast presence and their friendship made us return every year and our relationship with them still feels so strong and will never be forgotten. There are people in the world who are dear friends, even though they live far away. It is heartbreaking to realize we will never see them again even as they will always be in our thoughts and in our hearts. Oh, the stories!

Me wife and I have wonderful memories of Dave and Bernice from our time in Jamaica with the Peace Corp. We were living
25 miles up the coast towards MoBay in Lucea. When we had company or just needed a little vacation we would often head to Negril and that always meant Tensing Pen. They were both so nice to us and so laid back . Always so positive. They even worked it out that our whole Peace Corp of 18 people took over the grounds for a training weekend. AMAZING!!! We have a great photo in our Jamaica photo album of Dave holding up one of his lobsters , getting ready to grill it for us !! Blessings to the family and glad they are back together, two very special people David and Lisa Wisse

Peaceful healings to the family of Dave and Bernice. I had the pleasure to meet them on several occasions while they were Negril. While that was many moons ago they were a couple not easily forgotten and who made a lasting impression.

I will always remember my Grandmother with such a huge smile and contagious laugh. She was always so patient and compassionate towards me and my children. Whenever i would talk to her on the phone and the kids would get on the phone she would just light right up even in her voice. I LOVE U Grama and I'm at peace now knowing that u and Grampa are together once again. with all my love, Pamela

I have so many wonderful memories of my Mom and I can still hear her voice in my mind. I hear her singing "You are my Sunshine" in her beautiful voice and every time that she sang this song, I could see the love in her eyes. She was my best friend and we stayed in contact by phone on a regular basis and we laughed together often. I would go visit her and Dave every summer and we would count down the days until we seen each other again. I miss and love her very very much, but I still talk to her in my mind and will continue until we meet again. I know my parents are now together again in spirit with all of their families and friends who have passed before them.
Rest in Peace Mom and sending lots of love sent to you in Heaven xoxo
