Obituary of Richard Frank Coughlin

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Richard, aged 63 years at St. Boniface Hospital. Richard is survived by his wife Suzanne of 29 years; daughter Stephanie (Chris); brothers-in-law Doug and David; best friend Randy; as well as many friends and family. He is predeceased by his parents Millie and Frank; In-laws Olga and George, Auntie Clara; and friend Ian. Richard was born in Kenora, Ontario on September 9, 1957. He grew up in Kenora and moved to Winnipeg at 18, where he resided for the rest of his life. Richard worked at Quinton’s Dry Cleaning and Western Glove Works for many years. In 1991 he opened The Dye House Limited – a clothing manufacturing and dyeing business he ran successfully for 20 years. Richard was an excellent cook and loved to cook for his family and friends. His passion was fishing and he always looked forward to fishing trips with his friends. Richard enjoyed caring for our little dog, Simba and taking him for daily walks. He was so proud of his daughter Stephanie and all of her accomplishments. Our sincere thanks to the paramedics, Emergency and ICU staff at St Boniface Hospital for their care and compassion during his final days. Cremation has taken place and a private service will be held at a later date.
