Obituary of Alice Ann Boone

After a courageous battle with cancer, Alice Boone, passed away on February 12, 2021 at the Riverview Health Centre in Winnipeg at the age of 74 years. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband Roger; daughters Tannis Williams (Marc Comte), Janice Kavvadas (Spiros) and Jodene Reimer (Scott); grandchildren Niko, Alexsi, Cayden and Ashlyn; sisters Emily Kreke (Roger) and Fran Carriere; and grand fur-baby Jaxen. Alice was predeceased in life by her parents Michael and Helen Keweriga; and brother Bill Keweriga. Alice, who often wore her heart on her sleeve, was the glue that held many together. She had a deep love for her family, but her grandchildren were especially important to her. She will be missed by all who knew her. The family expresses their sincere thanks and gratitude to the amazing staff at the St. Boniface Hospital palliative care ward and Riverview Health Centre’s 3 East wing for their kind and compassionate care, as well as the palliative care nurses who cared for Alice while she was at home. They also extend a thank you to her close friends that were there by her side through all of it. In accordance with Alice’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, a celebration of her life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to CancerCare Manitoba in Alice’s memory.
