Obituary of Yvonne May Hartley

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Yvonne on February 5th, 2021. Yvonne was survived by her two daughters Darlene (Rod) and Cindy; granddaughters Chelsea, Hayley and Cassidy; sister Lynda (Maurice); and nephew Lonnie. She was a very motivated, strong willed and self-directed person. She lived a full life and valued her independence. She welcomed any challenge with a smile on her face saying “hello world here I am”. Yvonne enjoyed a successful career in real estate moving up to being a broker owning her own company and office. She then worked customer service for Zellers for many years until retirement at age 72. She had a courageous battle with breast cancer in 2018 in which she overcame with her tenacity. Her positive spirit was felt by all. Yvonne loved her family dearly. She will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts. Due to pandemic restrictions a family celebration of life will be held at a later date, to be determined. God took the fragrance of a flower, the majesty of a tree, The gentleness of the morning dew, the calm of a quiet sea, The beauty of the twilight hours, The soul of a starry night… The laughter of a ripping brook; The grace of a bird in flight, The tender care of an angle, the faith of a mustard seed, The patience of eternity, the depth of a family’s need… Then God fashioned from these things a creation like no other, And when his masterpiece was Through He simply called it MOTHER!!
