Our condolences to Vi's family members. My husband Rob and I sang with Vi at Knox Choir from 1974 to the final year when Barry Anderson retired. Our two sons, Randy and Anthony joined the choir later. The boys walked Vi to her car following rehearsals. They still talk about how well she sang, "White Cliffs of Dover." To this day there has never been anyone who could sing that song as well as Vi. My husband Rob, an ex police mechanic studied to be a red seal chef after retirement. There were many occasions when he would check something out on her car and bring a care package of soup he made for her. She loved his mushroom soup. Vi was very encouraging to our sons and me when we sang solos or performed on the trumpet, piano, or drums. I'm sure the Knox Choir members in heaven have already welcomed Vi . Her first solo will be "HIs Eyes are on the Sparrow." Thanks for the memories, Vi.

Thank you from both of us for the good memories. The Hockey games, the golf at the lake and breakfast. Yes Vi you were so kind and we are so appreciative for knowing you. A wonderful person, when we hear "O'Canada " yes we will be thinking of you.

My dad Bud sat at Vi’s table at Assiniboine Links. I had many suppers and lunches joining there table of great people. Vi was always very funny to my dad. She always had some great come backs. She sang at special occasions, my dad enjoyed a few Happy Birthday songs. I really felt she was a wonderful woman. It’s hard to get old and find yourself living with strangers but I think she touched lots of hearts at Assiniboine Links. Barb Borden

Did not know Vi for a long time but enough to appreciate her easy ability to make friends and willingness to help others. She made life just that little bit more enjoyable for those who knew her.

I have many memories of Vi singing in the choir at Knox Church from when I was very young and at the International Inn as well. Vi had a spirit as beautiful as her voice - sincere condolences to her family from mine
