Anita Bilous

Obituary of Anita Esther Bilous

ANITA ESTHER BILOUS (nee Marion) passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness with family by her side on Monday, March 08, 2021. Mom was born to Frank and Marie Marion on July 23, 1937, in Ste. Rose du Lac, the eldest of nine children. Mom and dad were married on July 23, 1955, and they eventually settled in Winnipeg to raise their young family. Anita was a strong, intelligent person and enjoyed her career as an office administrator. She had an engaging personality and will be fondly remembered for her feistiness and her sense of humour and quick wit. She brought a smile to everyone she met. Mom was an amazing cook and took great pleasure in hosting family dinners. Whether you were family or not you were always welcomed by her. She also loved gardening and especially looked forward to her spring planting. You could always put a smile on her face with a bouquet of roses. Anita loved shopping and her outings with the ladies from the Good Neighbours Active Living Centre and we thank them for their friendship with her. One of the greatest joys of Moms life was the arrival and pampering of her grandchildren. She could always be counted on to help when needed. Mom was predeceased by her loving husband Gilbert in 2011. She leaves to mourn her beloved children, Keith (Lori), Donna (Tom), Brenda, Clayton (Vi), Linda, and Kevin (Debs). She also leaves 16 wonderful grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, her brothers and sisters, and extended family and friends. A special thank you to Moms sisters, Marie, Denise and Madeline, for their love, care and friendship over the years. The family would like to express our thanks to the Dialysis Team at HSC for Moms care over the years. A special thank you to the staff on RR6 for their care and compassion during the past few weeks. Cremation has taken place. Due to Covid a celebration of Anita’s life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Society for Manitobans with Disabilities (Manitoba Possible) or the Winnipeg Humane Society.
