Walter was in the military with the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps. His career took him from Rivers, Newfoundland to Egypt. The family wishes to thank the staff of Deer Lodge Hospital for their care, compassion and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Walter’s memory to Deer Lodge Hospital. A private family gathering will be held at a later date. God looked around his garden and found an empty space. He then looked down upon Earth and saw your tired face. He put his arm around you and lifted you to rest. God’s garden must be beautiful, he only picks the best. He knew how you were suffering, the road was getting rough. So he closed your weary eyelids and whispered, “Peace be thine!” It broke our hearts to lose you, but you will not go alone. Because part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
