I only knew Dianne for a few short months. She was always a smiling face! I will miss her presence. She was always helping and serving people. Every time I saw her, she was laughing with someone. She had such a beautiful presence and people gravitated toward her. I will miss her laughs and her warm smile. Her and Ron were a true example of God’s love. They were so cute and you knew they loved each other so dearly. You will be so missed Dianne!!! Rest with God now. How beautiful that is! See you in heaven one day xoxoxoxoxoxo

Over the 20 years I have known Dianne, she has been my church choir alto buddy, my partner at fundraisers and many ecumenical events, and my walking buddy. Her contrasts were evident: shy yet spirited; supportive to so many others but self-effacing; generous to all except herself! I miss her but
picture her now basking in the love of God and watching over all of us.

I first met Dianne at an Irish Choir event. She loved to sing! And we were blessed at GS when the choir director, Ed Reynolds, invited her to join our choir as well. She had a strong faith, creative thoughts on worship, grace-filled heart, and shared laughter generously. Her family is tucked in my prayers as you face life without her. Rev. Bonita E. Garrett

I really don’t know where to begin. Dianne was my best friend. We have known each other forever. I first met Dianne in the early 80’s when we worked together. We became friends immediately. She welcomed me into her life and into her family. We shared many laughs and wonderful times together. In 1996 I moved to BC and we didn’t see each other very often and we drifted apart. In 2014 I returned to Winnipeg and it was as if we had never been away from each other. I will miss our Christmas shopping expeditions. Our lunches at the mall. You having your Subway sandwiches and me having my poutine and our laughs. We always had so much fun. I will miss the Christmas concerts and the craft fairs. I know that Ethan and Eliana both expected the “woot woot “ at the end of their concerts and I know that was your way of showing them how proud of them you were. You were the consummate listener and you genuinely cared about people. You were a beautiful person inside and out even though you didn’t think so. Heaven has gained a wonderful angel. RIP my beautiful friend. Until we meet again.
