I met Trevor when we were in grade 7, and continued in school with him through high school and then university. It was during our time at the U of W that I really got to know Trevor well. I can look back on many fond memories of the conversations we had back then. Sadly, I lost touch with Trevor after leaving university. I did try to look him up when my work brought me back to Winnipeg but I didn’t have any luck. I regret not getting to thank him for his friendship.
My deepest condolences to Trevor’s family.

My Name is Dero Sabatini. I am the son of Frank Sabatini, one my Uncle Jim’s (Trevor’s big brother) best friends.
Our family and the Smiths, including all extensions, we’re always intertwined.
That is sad news far too early in life. God bless you Trevor.

My heart is heavy with the news of Trevor’s passing, I still can’t believe it.
Anyone who knew him was touched by his kindness, his smile, professionalism and glass half full perspective.
He genuinely cared for those around him and was a friend to all.
Trevor, you will be greatly missed. My sincere condolences to Terry and the entire Smith family.

Worked with Trevor for thirty years. One of the nicest people at FedEx. Always had a smile and a hello for his coworkers. Never complained about work or anything really. Am going to miss seeing him and his big friendly smile every morning on the line. Gone way too soon. rip Trev. My heartfelt condolences to Terry and the Smith family.

To my best friend growing up ,to being the best man at my wedding to being your best man you will truly be missed by anyone who has known you, even though we drifted apart for many years due to life not a day went by that I did not think about the great times we spent listening to and talking about music, playing catch in your front yard, going to our favorite lounges and so much more.I wish I would have known so I could have told you how much you meant to me pal, you will always be in my memory.

Trevor and I worked as ramp agents together on the midnight shift in the old building back in the nineties. I had just got back from the YHZ station (Halifax) when I first met him. The YWG ramp was very different from YHZ. I needed to be brought up to speed and Trevor did the honours. He was a very meticulous person and things had to be done right. We worked together for a year on the ramp and during that time I gave him the nickname Trevort. I moved back to courier ops and he eventually became a courier as well. I noticed he had the same meticulous work ethic as a courier. Trevor was a comical guy at times and would put a smile on your face. He will be missed by everybody at the station. Thoughts go out to Terry and the rest of the family..Rest in peace Trevor…

Trevor will be missed deeply.
We shared a lot of great memories together.
Playing crib, listening to wall night long and lots of camping trips also concerts.
We loved to cook meals together.
Miss you Trev.

I haven't been a courier long but whenever I would pass Trevor on the sort he always made a point to say hi and flash that big smile just like the one in the picture. In fact I don't remember ever seeing him NOT smiling. That he loved his job and his fedex family was evident. He will be missed and wishing his family all the love and support you need as you grieve and remember the good times.

I too also had the greatest of pleasure to have worked along side of Trevor during my years at FedEx.Trevor’s dedication to his job was second to none..I remember many talks and discussions about doing everything possible to ensure our customers received their freight in the “most timely and efficient manner.” No matter how busy we were at work, he would always do whatever it took “to get the job done.” He was a great role model for me and everyone else that had the pleasure of working with him.
My condolences to Terry and all of the family.
Thoughts and prayers,
Ken Kneeshaw

I’d never the honour nor pleasure of formerly meeting Trevor as I’m a relative FedEx courier newbie, but I just thought I would let you all know that in my time with the company, I heard nothing but good things about the man from both staff and management. He’s a legend around those parts and on route, and shall forever remain one.

I had the good fortune to have worked with Trevor at FedEx for many years. In life we seldom say what we feel about someone, so I’ll say it now. Trevor, I felt honoured to call you my friend. I remember so many times sitting at the old Robin’s donut shop on Keewatin laughing or bitching about our morning’s work. It didn’t matter what the pressures of the day brought. I always looked forward to sitting for an hour and gabbing, having great discussions and always finding reasons to laugh. When lunch ended there was always the question: “will you be okay? Can I help you at all? We’ll keep in touch.”
I’ll miss you as will many others my friend.
To paraphrase Rick Springfield:
… How far does the spirit travel on the journey
You must surely be near heaven
And it thrills me to the bone
To know Trevor knows the great unknown...…
