Doug was like a father-in-law to me. A cherished friend to my dear departed Russell. Russ loved to go to Dougie's to "shoot the shit", as he always used to say, lol. I'll forever remember Dougs big smile, laughter and hugs. I have many memories of us laughing so hard it hurt. Doug, I hope you are at peace now, free of pain, and reconnecting with all your loved ones that went before you. RIP ❤️ Laurie

I have been friends with his granddaughter (Alishia) for 22 years. Crazy! I'm sad that I didn't get to see his amazing smile one last time. But will still cherish all the memories I got to have with him. He was the kindest man I've ever known, he would just light up a room when he entered and everytime it was like papas here <3. He was truly the best papa I have ever known. He will live on from all the hearts he's touched. Never forgotten papa you will be truly missed! Breath easy and be free. xoxo

You were the most kind man anyone could know. I didn't know how many lives you touched untill it was to late. This year you got the gift that only you could feel the joy from, breathing with no hesitation and no pain. We will all miss you so much Papa.
