Suzanne was a friend of the family, and a dear friend of my mom, Rosetta. She was at family gatherings and celebrations throughout the years I was growing up, and Amanda was a good friend of my sister, Adrianne. It's with fondness that I recall the Christmas Eve celebrations Suzanne would host in such a warm and welcoming way, all the brightly colored Swedish decorations and table linens, and the wonderful food she would make on these occasions. My sister, brother Dale, and I would play with the wooden maze she'd put out for us, she was always attentive and had so many interesting stories she'd share. Suzanne was impressive with her ability to speak a number of languages, she'd converse in French with us as we learned the language ourselves. And it always made me happy that our family, and my mom in particular, had a friend who was a part of our lives in such a central way--she was often over at our home, and we over at hers, that kind of close and casual friendship is a joy. In short, Suzanne was a part of our family. Amanda and Nick, I'm sorry for your loss and send you my condolences, as well as all good wishes as you remember your mom.

I have fond memories of Suzanne. We were good friends and neighbours. We often walked to each other’s homes to visit. We took some lovely trips. One was to the Roseisle area where we picnicked along the way. Another was to Hecla iIsland where we spent a couple of nights and enjoyed the trails. We had wonderful lazy days at Grand Beach. She loved the sun and water.
Our families spent many Christmases together. She would put on a lovely Christmas Eve dinner and then would come to our place for Christmas brunch. Our children shared good times together. She also enjoyed playing charades with a larger group of friends.
She was stylish. She was a gentle soul. She was a good friend.
Deepest condolences to Calvin, Mandy, Nick and family.

She will be missed by the Swedish community in Winnipeg. Thinking of you Calvin, at this difficult time. Elaine & Eric Friesen
