Obituary of Thomas Walter Owen

It is with profound sadness that the family of Thomas Owen announces his sudden passing March 10, 2022 at the age of 71. He will be lovingly remembered by his children Tanya, Chris and Scott; grandchildren Hunter and Grace; sister Cheryl; and sisters-in-law Darlene and Nancy. He will also be dearly missed by Miriam and Chris Giesbrecht; Sam (Desiree), Nicole, Marcia, Krista, Tim; and his best friends Larry, Mark and Murray. He was predeceased by his loving wife Linda Owen Charest; brothers Randy, Ernie and Sam; sister Sandra; nephew Todd; and his parents Sam and Marion. Tom had a long lustrous career as a long-haul truck driver, 25 years at Reimer and 25 years at Bison. He met a lot of people, he touched a lot of people. In his 50 years of long-haul truck driving, he received many awards for safe driving and many awards for millions of miles. Tom loved cooking homemade meals for his family. He loved to make soup, especially summa borscht. Family was everything to him. Tom will be truly missed by many. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
