I was very saddened to stumble across this page about the loss of Warren. My little family’s first home was next door to the Weldon’s. I remember Warren and his family as wonderful neighbours and good friends during those years. We certainly shared many adventures that are a part of living on the banks of the Red River. Together, we were constantly trying to protect the back of our properties from erosion due to the wave action of the artificially raised water level of the river (to assist with summer navigation). There was the season that Warren and I installed mighty pumps so that we could flood our gardens and lawns with river-water. We shared the researching of the technology and then the rental of a trenching machine. And the labour that ensued. After I moved to the Vancouver region, when Warren would visit he’d often call me to keep in touch. I wondered why I hadn’t heard for a while. My fond wishes to Dorothy, Erin, Jason, and Greg.
