Leah and I both came from Cardiff, S.Wales, U.K. We both ended up in Winnipeg, and we lived on the same street, Grosvenor Ave. However we did not know each other until we met in Winnipeg.We both became members of the Manitoba Welsh Society ( then known as the St. David's Society ).
Leah was very musical, she taught piano and she loved to sing. (What Welsh person doesn't !) For a number of years she was a member of the Choir at St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church, where I continue to be an active member.
Leah enjoyed coming to the many parties we held on Grosvenor Ave.,and she was always a lot of fun.
I am saddened by the news of her passing, but I am glad that she is no longer suffering.
Rest in peace Leah my friend
