Obituary of Frank Varga

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our father, brother, uncle and friend, Frank Varga on August 9, 2022, at the age of 75 Frank is lovingly remembered by his son Jason; brothers Joe (Sharon) and Les; sister Elizabeth (Laszlo); and also be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews and many friends. Frank was predeceased by his life partner, Angela, and his mother Elizabeth, Frank was born in Hungary in 1947 and came to Canada in 1957. His family settled in Winnipeg where he remained. Frank was employed by Wilsons Auto for 30 plus years before his retirement. Frank and Angela hosted many social events and Frank was always the best host, ensuring his guests had enough to drink while Angela ensured they had enough to eat. Frank enjoyed travelling, his last trip was visiting Hungary and reconnecting with his sister Elizabeth, as she remained in Hungary when Frank, his mother, and brothers moved to Canada. Frank enjoyed spending time with Family and Friends, and it wouldn’t be unusual to see him sipping a cool one on a hot summer day. In Frank’s memory, please feel free to share stories on this page. At Franks request, cremation has taken place and a quiet private celebration of life will take place later.
