Obituary of David Joseph Gyorfy

David Jozef Gyorfy, 63, of Winnipeg, Manitoba, passed away on Wednesday, September 21st, 2022 in the ICU unit at Health Science center. A wake will be held at his brother Robert’s house located at 413 Melrose Ave West on October 1st, 2022 from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM. The family encourages all who knew David to join while they celebrate his life and honor him by sharing the various ways David touched their lives. David was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba Mary and Jozef Gyorfy, December 24th 1958. Born the middle child, he had one older brother Peter and one younger Rob whom he was closet. Mary would often dress both boys in matching outfits being so close in age; some would mistake them for twins at times. David lived in Winnipeg his whole life and was a Painter by Trade. On his off time, David enjoyed spending time with his friends and always had a smile on his face. David had a variety of interests including: Collecting various items (Winnipeg Jets stuff, Coke a Cola items), watching war movies, going to the club and meeting new people, but most of all he loved fishing. David is survived by his brother Robert Gyorfy, sister-in-law Linda-Mae Gyorfy, Nieces: Christina (Tom), Samantha, Elizabeth (Richard), Hannah, Caitlin, Ivorie, Emma, Athena, Nephews: Jackson and Nicholas. He is pre-deceased in Death by his Father, Jozef Gyorfy, Mother, Mary Hagenlocher, and Brother Peter Gyorfy. You will be missed Dave, Rest in Peace.
