Obituary of Phyllis Kate Pajot (nee Clark)

It is with deep and profound sadness we announce the passing of our Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother Phyllis Kate Pajot (nee Clark). Phyllis was born on August 10, 1928 in Horsham, England as the youngest daughter of Frederick and Kate Clark (Brooker). Phyllis had two sisters, Betty and Deirdre, as well as three brothers Norman, Denis and Ken. Phyllis was the last surviving sibling of the Clark family. Phyllis met Phillip Pajot during the Second World War when he was stationed close to Horsham during preparations for the D-Day invasion of Europe. They married in Brighton, England on July 11, 1945. They settled in Nanaimo, British Columbia where Dad enlisted once again with the military joining the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Military Policeman. His postings took the family all over Canada and Europe. They had two sons, Darryl (Melodie) and Stephen (Karen) and daughter Darlene (David), each being born in Canada but in various provinces. Eventually Dad retired from the RCAF in Winnipeg and they bought their first home in 1968. Phillip passed away in 1986 as a result of an accident leaving Phyllis a widow. Phyllis worked at Eaton’s Department Store for many years and retired in their second home in Winnipeg that they had bought together in 1971. Phyllis was so proud of her family and was blessed with five grandchildren Chelsea (Joe), Sean, Karen (Chris), Michael and Adam and two great grandchildren Adelaide and Alexander. Mum was loving, dedicated, loyal and above all selfless in always supporting her family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her and especially by her family. Rest in peace dear Mother. We pray you are now with Dad once again. Cremation has taken place. Mum will be laid to rest beside her loving husband at a private family celebration of life.
