Obituary of Richard Allan Boivin

After a lengthy illness, Richard (Rick) Boivin passed away surrounded by family. Rick will be missed by his parents Bill and Arlene; sister Katherine (Glenn), niece Stephanie (Max); great nephew Owen; nephews Justin and Quintan; long time friends Brian (Krista); gaming buddies; and friends Chris (go Bears) and Mike (Jocelyn). Rick was born in Pinawa, Manitoba and lived there until after graduating when he moved to Winnipeg to further his education. He enjoyed working at Monarch Industries for 21 years until his health caused him to go on long term disability. He was fiercely independent and never let his disability define him. He was an avid sports fan and he attended Moose, Jets, Bombers and Goldeyes games. As per Rick’s wishes, there will be no formal service and cremation has taken place.
