While I only had the privilege of meeting Leola a couple of times, getting to know her daughter Michelle it was clear to see the similarities between the two. The same sparkle in their eyes, contagious laughter that raises the mood in any room, a warm heart and the genuine care for everyone around them. If the legacy we leave counts for anything, and I know that it does, Leola's love for family will always live on and her children were blessed to have such a kindhearted mother.
Thank you, Leola, for the best molasses cookies I ever had and for the thought that went in behind making them for me.
