Obituary of Kathleen Margaret McDougall

On Friday, December 2, 2022 at 8:20am, Heaven gained another angel. Kathleen Margaret McDougall, loving wife, mother, step-mother, grandmother and friend, passed away at the age of 54, reuniting her with her father Wilfred, Mother Bess and her son Richard. Kathy was always caring for those around her no matter what they needed and always put everyone else first. Everyone around her always knew they could go to her for her support and for advice or to get a good laugh on the darkest of days. She was always there for her kids, loved her step-kids like they were her own, and adopted those around her as her own. Even when she wasn’t feeling her best, she made sure you didn’t notice and ensured she made you feel at your best. Kathy was known for always taking every situation and making it positive in some manner and she believed in always bringing the sunshine out on those cloudy days. Kathy was best known for her heart. It was tough but caring, created independence in others but nutured as well and had enough of her heart for everybody in her life. Her toughness was the one thing that always stood out to everyone. She was always a fighter. No matter how tough the situation was, she always fought it no matter what it took out of her. Kathy showed her true resiliency in her final battle where she refused to give in, refused to give up until she was ready too. She is survived by her husband Doug; her sons Aaron, Christopher, Peter and Sean; her step sons Kevin and Ryan (wife Stephanie); and her five grandchildren. ``Remember to have Faith, Be courageous and be strong. I will love and protect you always, Until We Meet Again`` A memorial service will be held on Monday December 19, 2022 at 1 p.m. at the Marantha Church, 912 Sturgeon Road.
