Obituary of Susan Ann Pottery

It is of great sadness we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, auntie and friend Susan Pottery. Susan passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 6, 2023 at Oakview Extendicare at the age of 70. Celebration of life will be held at Assiniboia Downs on January 22, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. Susan was born in Regina Saskatchewan, February 15, 1952. She was predeceased by her parents Roy Joseph Pottery (Father), Sybil Eleanor Pottery/ Fray (Mother). She is now reunited with her beloved pet Muffin. She was the eldest of her six siblings Roy, Robert, Rodge, Ronald, Caroline Saunders and Sybil Craft as well as her nephews, nieces and many cousins and friends. She leaves to mourn daughter Jennifer Passley/Young (Michael); son Shaine Young; and daughter Shannon Young; six grandchildren Jordon Young (Brianne), Tyler Gardner (Jasmine), Nicolas Young (Chelsea), Kiara Young, Alexis Ross (Anthony) and Arianna Ross; and five great grandchildren Sarah Young, Holden Gardner, Dominick Young, Tate Gardner, Emmalia Young. She was raised with her siblings for many years on army bases, as her father was in the military for 20 years. Most, if not all of her siblings except her, have been in the military at some point during their life. As the eldest she helped care for her younger siblings throughout the years. She later worked for banks, CRA and Homecare to name a few. She enjoyed taking care of her grandkids and taking them on outings. She also enjoyed knitting, soap operas and watching award shows. The family would like to thank Oakview Extendicare staff for the care they provided for our mother over the past 13 years. Peacefully, sleeping, resting at last The world's weary troubles and trials are past, In silence she suffered, in patience she bore Till God called her home to suffer no more. In lieu of flowers if friends so desire, donations in memory of Susan may be made to the Huntington's Society of Canada.
