Patricia Yellowega

Obituary of Patricia Eleanor Yellowega

It is with great sorrow the family of Patricia Yellowega (nee Pohl) announces her unexpected passing at the age of 57 on January 18, 2023. She is mourned by husband Ken; son Daniel (girlfriend Rebecca); sisters Valerie, Flora and Krista; brothers Pete, Mike, Clarence and Richard; in addition to many other family members and beloved friends. She also leaves behind her sweet cat Bonnie and newest feline rescue, Duke. She is predeceased by her Mother Cecile Kakewash and Father Karl Heinz Pohl. Patty was a life force, a woman with a heart of gold whose laughter was contagious, smile was huge, and everyone was an instant friend. Having left City living a few years back, Patty loved the Country. She planted flowers, vegetables and happily rode the lawn mower. Patty was proud of every moment, bulb and bloom. Patty made life an adventure, her, Ken and Dan toured the countryside, the Provinces and even went stateside; always on an adventure to a concert, casino, spa or hot spring. As a proud member of the Minegoziibe Anishinabe Band (formerly Pine Creek First Nation), her Aboriginal name, Red Spirit Sky woman, was an honor she embraced, and she grew further as she learned her heritage and native roots. Having spent many years as a single Mom, Patty knew about hard work and was always a giver with acts of service being important to her own personal happiness. From delivering Christmas Cheer baskets to volunteer cooking at Camp Cedarwood, she gave back with her time and heart. She will be forever mourned by all who knew her and loved her. Rest peacefully until we meet again. Service will be held Friday, February 03, 2023 at 11:00 am inside the Christian Fellowship Chapel, 465 Osborne Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
