Shirley and I shared a long friendship from the time we started our laboratory and x-ray training until working together at Roblin Diagnostics until Shirley retired and moved to Winnipeg. We had many adventures during our long acquaintance. She will be missed.

Sincere sympathies, Mona. Your courage and love in taking such good care of Shirley didn't go unnoticed. You truly were her rock. We all know how much she loved you! Shirley was the real deal; non pretentious, no nonsense, genuine and kind. I'll miss her wit and her sense of awe. She didn't lose her battle to cancer, she simply transcended it and on her terms. She's at peace now and may God bless her! We'll meet again on the other side, Shirley. I feel your presence, guiding and protecting me. I'll love you forever! sister-in-law, Léonne Brisson-Kelsch
